David Rosbottom OBE officially retired on the 27th January

David Rosbottom OBE officially retired on the 27th January, 20 years to the day when he first became a governor at Winstanley College. As the College’s longstanding Chair of Governors, he has guided and supported no fewer than four College Principals at Winstanley and worked with many governors over the years.

David’s integrity, selflessness and absolute commitment to the College have been inspirational and he has always put Winstanley students first. It is his guidance as Chair of Governors that has been key in making Winstanley the outstanding College it is today, a College with a national reputation and a long history of excellence.

David was officially thanked for his longevity of service and commitment to the College at a commemorative dinner held in his honour and hosted by the Principal, Louise Tipping.  The dinner was attended by David’s family, former principals, the Clerk, Colleagues from the College together with current and past governors.
